After the Storm Homeless Ministry and Transitional Housing is a start-up not for profit organization incorporated in Illinois to serve and provide resources to women in the greater Chicagoland area.
The organization was founded by Mrs. Rhona Allen-Coleman who has an intensive background in Healthcare and Family services with over 40 years of hands-on experience. After overcoming the obstacles of a sorted background, Mrs. Rhona Allen-Coleman became passionate in becoming a resource for women with similar challenges. She decided to organize After the Storm Homeless and Transitional Housing organization to be a community of support.
Mrs. Rhona Allen-Coleman has a current 501(c)3 status and has evaluated/assembled a strong Board of Trustees which will be the foundation for the implementation of policies and procedures that will structure the success for the organization
Mrs. Rhona Allen-Coleman is the driving force behind the organization. Her passion is derived from overcoming obstacles of recovery from alcohol, drugs and prostitution. Understanding the struggles of feeling lost, worthless and nowhere to find assistance, Rhona Allen-Coleman recognized this as an opportunity to provide a service that will finally address an overlooked plague within the community. Rhona Allen-Coleman has an extensive background and real-life experience of the conditions of treatment facilities and aims to use her knowledge to organize programs to facilitate the organizations mission/core values.
